MAKING ALLOWANCES…

For the longest time, I tried to make this writing thing work,
I advertised here, advertised there,
Listened to this, listened to that,
Ran here and ran there,
Then one day, I had an epiphany,
That instead of trying to make things happen,
I would have to allow them too,
That is what the faithful does,
Before anyone throws rain on that parade,
I need to make clear that no one understands better than I,
That belief in God, does not circumvent work,
And planning,
And making sure your game is tight,
But I also know this,
That sometimes if we claim to believe,
We have to allow the belief to work,
And listen to the voices,
That will guide your work and take you to where you need to go,
In the last year, I have done that,
And I promise you,
The blessings from my writing has been running me over,
Be that in my blog,
The books I write and sell,
Or those who are willing to pay me for the little bit I know,
I didn’t ask for any of this to occur in the way it did,
Because if I had, I would have messed it up for sure,
I simply decided to walk by faith and not by sight,
And allow myself to be a vessel….
