The best part about a new year is you have 365 days to do better than the year before.

As a writer, you have a chance to create new characters with a new book.  If you didn’t finish your book in 2009 then you have new days to work on that book.

Don’t beat yourself up for what happen in 2009, it’s over and you tried the best you could.  As my friend told me when I fell down once, you will do better.  Use these new days to do better by making time to write.

Write down your goals for the year.

Break those goals into monthly tasks.

Break those monthly goals into weekly tasks.

Break those weekly tasks into daily task.

It’s a new year to start fresh.  Break out passed those cobwebs in your head.  Pick up a good book to inspire you and WRITE.

Here’s wishing your new year is filled with characters that make you want to write everyday.

What are your plans for 2010?
