Is it because you hope your writing makes you a multimillionaire? Do you dream of having enough 
money to not have to worry about how much that Versace outfit cost, and just throw it in the bag? How about being able to afford the upkeep on that brand new Maserati Quattrope?
Is it because you have a burning desire to show all those that doubted your creative genius that you could write a book? Does the lure of rubbing it in the face of that friend of yours that is always trying to “one up” you every chance he/she got motivate you? Is it to show that person that your thoughts run deeper than merely concentrating on who was sleeping with who in the hip hop world?
I know, I know, it’s AWESOME to see your name in print—especially as the author of a book! But please don’t let this be the reason you to rush to be published. After hosting writer’s workshops for a few years now, I have seen this scenario played out too many times.
